robo.in is a division of ThinkLABS with its R&D lab in IIT Bombay. Established by IIT alumnus, robo.in has made a remarkable inception by exposing more than 1000 school children (4th-12th stds.) to the wonderful world of robotics, in its very first year.
Company’s advisory board includes prominent personalities like Dr. C Amarnath, Professor and Former Dean, IIT Bombay and Mr. Fred Rose, Director Technology & Strategy, Honeywell , USA.
Robot building and programming motivates young minds towards science and technology. It also helps them develop invaluable skills such as problem solving, analytical thinking, creativity and innovation.
robo.in’s R&D Lab at IIT Bombay has been involved for more than two years in an exhaustive academic research resulting in the emergence of its proprietary teaching module, Robotics Learning System (RLS).
The three key components of RLS are
a) The Course Content - well researched and piloted on more than 1000 students
b) The i-Pitara Hardware - an advanced Micro-controller based Toolkit for robotics learning, and
c) CiMPLE - a visual software workbench, unique in India, international in quality.
robo.in is currently collaborating with schools across India to set up robotics labs/clubs and making robotics a part of school curriculum. It is also inviting partners to set up retail education outlets and reach out to schools in their respective localities.
